Eifion Paul

I first came to New Zealand simply as a Welsh rugby fan for the 2011 world cup. It was an amazing adventure covering the whole country. I'm very thankful to now live and work in beautiful Aotearoa thanks to the trust placed in me by LAC. My position has changed quite a bit from being a boys' dean last year, but I'm enjoying the challenges of working on the administration side of boarding and marketing, in the knowledge that at LAC there is always someone willing to lend a hand or share their wisdom. As a design graduate I never expected to be working at a boarding school on the opposite side of the world, but it's so exciting to work in such a variety of areas and to see the many possibilities that LAC has to offer our students. My favourite Bible verse, Matthew 5:14-16 (The Message): “...You’re here to be light, bringing out the God-colors in the world. God is not a secret to be kept. We’re going public with this, as public as a city on a hill. If I make you light-bearers, you don’t think I’m going to hide you under a bucket, do you? I’m putting you on a light stand. Now that I’ve put you there on a hilltop, on a light stand—shine! Keep open house; be generous with your lives. By opening up to others, you’ll prompt people to open up with God, this generous Father in heaven."
