Year 11 PE class balancing their way through the trees.
Adrenalin was certainly pumping when we arrived in Porirua, Wellington, at Adrenalin Forest on Friday 9th March as we looked high into the trees to see the ropes.
The Year 11 PE class were completing an NCEA assessment where they had to participate in an outdoor activity and demonstrate a range of responsible behaviours. These included: cooperation with others, self-management, compliance with instructions, teamwork, assisting and supporting others, and tolerance.
Students used challenge by choice as they worked their way up the levels, getting higher and higher into the trees. Some students began at level 1 while others who were more confident began at level 4. All students were challenged as they progressed across the ropes in the trees.
